About the IV NCA-FELAFACS Conference

Welcome to the IV Conference of Communication scholars of the Americas, sponsored by the National Communication Association and the Latin American Federation of Social Communication Schools.

This fourth edition has been named “Enhancing Academic Collaboration in Communication across the Americas”. Since 1997, in México City, where the first conference was held, NCA and FELAFACS main goal has been to provide communication scholars accross the continent an opportunity to share their teaching, research, and practice experiences in the different areas of the field of communication.

The IV Conference will offer a multi-dimensional symposium designed to give participants a greater understanding of the ideological, pedagogical, theoretical, and practical paradigms relevant to fortifying professional relationships between Latin American and North American communication scholars. We would like to extend a special word of thanks to our participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, México, Peru and the United States, as this preconference would not have been possible without their contributions.
